Gilbert A. Chagoury is an independent couturier who was born in Lebanon and raised in Paris. A graduate of the Parsons School of Design, which he attended in both Paris and New York, he began his illustrious career at the legendary Christian Dior in Paris.
Five years ago, Gilbert A. Chagoury designed a dramatic, intricately detailed gown for the Monte Carlo wedding of a European heiress. Word of his exquisite creation spread so quickly that he is now regularly commissioned to design gowns for the fashion elite in Paris, the Middle East, New York, and Hollywood. High-profile socialites and celebrities are among his dedicated followers, and include Milla Jovovich, Katy Perry, Niki Taylor, Michelle Rodriguez, Paris Hilton, Shenae Grimes, Demi Lovato, Hayden Panettiere, Eva Longoria and Edie Falco.
Chagoury's creations have had a highly visible presence at numerous red-carpet events and movie premiers. His fashions have been seen at the 2011 Golden Globes and the 2011 Art of Elysium Gala, hosted by Vogue magazine. At the latter event, Milla Jovovich wore an exclusive Chagoury Couture dress fresh from the runway, and was named one of the ten best-dressed women at the gala by several fashion magazines. This recognition served to distinguish Gilbert A. Chagoury among the worlds most renowned and respected designers. His visibility has also expanded as the result of features in numerous national publications, including Brides Magazine, LA Times, Lucky, Us Weekly, and Kurv.
